Bijal and Sinead Shah, Owners

An indefatigable entrepreneur, Bijal is also a philanthropist and community activist. Born in Mombasa, Kenya, he has been in Seattle, Washington since he was eleven years old. In addition to being the visionary behind Woodhouse Family Cellars, Bijal is the owner and founder of Woodhouse Apparel, Inc., producing high quality goods for private labels and industry giants including Guess, Nordstrom, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, and Cynthia Rowley. He is also the owner and founder of Ramp-Up Ventures, a software development company based in India. Bijal has served on the boards of the Seattle Aquarium, and New Futures, a neighborhood-based organization that works to strengthen families and foster successful children.

Sinead was born in England. Her father, an aeronautical engineer, instilled wanderlust in Sinead early, moving the family from England to Vancouver, Seattle and Tulsa. She always knew that she wanted to be a pilot, and at 21 received her license which she uses today to fly transcontinental Boeing 777's for United Airlines.

Sinead knew that Woodhouse Family Cellars would be more than just a hobby when she found herself labeling and putting foil caps on the bottles by hand. It's the first business endeavor the couple has pursued together, one that is quickly becoming the toast of the Northwest and undergoing exponential growth.
